This page covers the launch-updates signup on cleargrow.io. ClearGrow LLC holds the signups.

What we keep

When you sign up, we add one entry to our list. It holds:

• your email address, trimmed and in lower case;
• the time you signed up;
• your answer to "What do you grow in?" (tent, room, houseplants, hydro, or greenhouse or commercial), only if you chose one;
• two labels of our own: that you signed up on this page, and which version of the signup wording you saw.

Nothing else is kept. If you sign up again with the same address, nothing is added or changed.

What we don't keep

• No IP address goes into the list. To stop abuse, the signup service counts attempts from each IP address for about a minute, in memory only.
• The site sets no cookies.

What we use it for

Only to email you about ClearGrow's launch and products. We don't sell your address or give it to anyone for their own use. The list is kept on the server that runs this site, which we rent from Linode, with a nightly backup on storage we run ourselves.

The email service

When the ClearGrow store opens, we move the list to Resend, the email service that sends our mail, and use it to send you one announcement of the launch. Resend is based in the United States, so every address on the list, including those from the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, is then processed in the United States. Resend acts only on our behalf under its data processing terms, which include the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the EU. Each message carries a link to unsubscribe and our postal address.

How long we keep your consent

We keep your address, the time you signed up and the wording of the consent you saw, as proof that you agreed to hear from us, for as long as we email the list and for 3 years after we stop. If you ask to be removed, your address is deleted from the list and from that record at once.

Who carries the traffic

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which passes each request, including your IP address, to our server.

Visit counts

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Each page loads a small script from Cloudflare's domain, static.cloudflareinsights.com, which reports the page view and how fast the page loaded to Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and Cloudflare says it doesn't fingerprint or track visitors across sites. We see only totals, such as visits per page and the sites that linked here. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Being removed

Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, and we'll remove it from the list and from the consent record. Dated backup copies are kept for 90 days, so the address leaves the backups within 90 days.
